Runaway Manhattan

Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Orange and Angostura Bitters
The Story

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey (we use Rittenhouse or Old Overholt)

  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi di Torino)

  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters (Fee Bros)

  • Garnish with cocktail cherry (Luxardo)

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a Mixing Glass

  2. Add a TON of ice (almost to the top of the mixing glass)

  3. Set a Timer for 2 MINUTES and slowly stir the cocktail (one mississippi, two mississippi, three mississippi style)

  4. Drop the cherry into a chilled Nick and Nora and strain the cocktail into the glass
