Fair and Warmer

Rum, Sweet Vermouth, Dry Curaçao
The Story

I don't recall where I first ran across this one, but this Manhattan riff can be found in The Savoy Cocktail Book. We hail from Minnesota where a weather forecast of "fair and warmer" in the spring is definitely something to look forward to after a long winter. The proportions have been modernized to make this a deliciously light sipper.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz White Rum

  • ½ oz Sweet Vermouth

  • ½ oz Dry Curaçao

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass

  2. Stir with ice until chilled

  3. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora

  4. Garnish with an orange twist
