Bourbon, Dry Curacao, Allspice Dram, Orange Bitters
The Story

This one is from Sasha Petraske's book Regarding Cocktails. Feel free to swap in a different bourbon, but make sure it's a good one. Despite the sweetness of the liqueurs, it's pretty spirit forward. The in-glass build is likely responsible for that. If you want to soften it a little, stir it up in a mixing glass like you would with an Old Fashioned.

Ingredients

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters

  • 2 oz Bourbon (Elijah Craig 12 year)

  • ¼ oz Dry Curaçao

  • ¼ oz Allspice Dram

Preparation

Build in glass

  1. Add all ingredients to a lowball glass

  2. Add a large ice cube and stir

  3. Garnish with Lemon Twist
