Jack the Ripper

Rum, Cherry Heering, Sweet Vermouth, Lime, Bitters
The Story

There are many cocktails named Jack the Ripper, most with a Jack Daniels base. But this one uses dark rum.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz Dark Rum

  • ½ oz Cherry Heering

  • ½ oz Sweet Vermouth

  • ¼ oz Lime Juice

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker

  2. Shake with ice

  3. Double strain into a lowball with a large ice cube

  4. Garnish with an orange twist and a cocktail cherry
