Scotch, Vermouth, Drambuie, Ramazzotti Amaro, Angostura Bitters, Orange
The Story

This is an original Anders Erickson recipe that we love! Definitely a nice intro to scotch. Stick with a blended scotch (versus islay) here. It's also a good opportunity to grab a quality Sweet Vermouth like Cocchi di Torino. The rest of the cocktail is a balance of sweetness (Drambuie) and bitter (Amaro). It's kind of an elevated Manhattan, but even that is selling this original cocktail short. Try it! Cheers!

Ingredients
  • 1½ oz 10 year highland scotch

  • ¾ oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino

  • ¼ oz Drambuie

  • ¼ oz Ramazzotti Amaro

  • 1-2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

  • Expressed Orange Oil and Orange Peel garnish

Preparation
  1. Chill a coupe or nick and nora glass

  2. Add all ingredients to a Mixing Glass

  3. Add ice (filling over half way)

  4. Stir for 30 seconds

  5. Strain into prepared glass

  6. Orange oil across top of drink and garnish with peel
