River Styx

Bourbon, Kahlúa, Crème de Cacao, Allspice Dram, Angostura Bitters
The Story

This is an Old Fashioned riff that replaces the sugar with sweet liqueurs. Who doesn't love coffee and chocolate flavors together. Don't be tempted to use Mr. Black here as you need the sweetness of the Kahlúa.

Ingredients
  • 2 oz Bourbon

  • ¼ oz Kahlúa

  • ¼ oz Crème de Cacao

  • 1 dash Allspice Dram

  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

Preparation
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice

  2. Stir for 30 seconds

  3. Strain into a lowball with a large ice cube

  4. Garnish with a lemon peel


There's not really a good reason to keep your Allspice Dram in a dasher bottle, so just pour a small amount into a barspoon to measure.
