French Manhattan

Cognac, Sweet Vermouth, Grand Marnier, Angostura Bitters
The Story

This is a fairly straightforward riff on a classic Manhattan. Dolin is preferred here over our usual Cocchi di Torino, since the concept here is French ingredients. You can swap out the Grand Marnier for any (French) orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao.

Ingredients
  • 1½ oz Cognac

  • 1½ oz Sweet Vermouth (Dolin)

  • ¼ Grand Marnier

  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

Preparation
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice

  2. Stir for 30 seconds

  3. Strain into a Nick & Nora

  4. Drop a cocktail cherry into the glass
